Maryborough Pony Club  

Maryborough Pony Club is located at Maryborough Park, off the Bruce Highway. 

The club has been operating for nearly 50 years, since 1960, and has been involved with the building of horseriding skills to the youth of the district.

-To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sports connected with horse riding.

 

- To provide instruction in riding and horsemanship and to instill in members the proper care of their animals.

 

- To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship strength and self discipline. 

 "ponyclub at the show"

       May 24th 1960 - The Maryborough Pony Club will be making its first appearance at the Maryborough Show when it opens the events on Wednesday. The club has been functioning only a few months, but has already built up a membership of more than 40 junior members with their own ponies. Members of the Maryborough Pony Club wil be distinguished by their uniform of brown caps, jodhpurs and riding boots and white shirts.
